The Ohio State University is committed to promoting the health, safety and security of students, faculty and staff traveling internationally with university support. The Office of International Affairs’ Global Health and Safety team collaborates with other university units to provide health and safety information and support to university travelers. We monitor security information such as Crisis24 alerts, U.S. Department of State advisories and information from the Overseas Security Advisory Council and we support travelers who need medical or security assistance while abroad.
There will always be risks associated with travel, even in the United States. To minimize risk, travelers should actively engage in pre-departure preparation, learn about the host destination, consider their own health needs and have a plan of action if an incident occurs. In the links and pages on this website, you will learn more about the tools and resources provided by Ohio State to help you can prepare for your travel.
