<none>When the East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University received a U.S. Department of Education grant to support language and area studies part of the more than $2 million award established a regional campus partnership program that included the campus libraries. Over the first two years of the four-year grant the Lima Campus Library has been steadily building its East Asian children’s book section to bolster the resources available to elementary and secondary teachers in the area.

Chinese alumni celebrate a lifetime of friendship
<none>Buckeyes are Buckeyes for life! For four Chinese alumni, being a Buckeye has meant maintaining lifelong bonds across continents. Qiuyuan Pan, Yuanfang Zheng, Shanxiao Xie and Lian Wei were part of the first cohorts from mainland China to study at Ohio State in 1979 and 1980. The friends are now in their 70s and 80s and have had successful careers in engineering, robotics, soil mechanics and publishing, all while staying in touch throughout their lives.
