The Fulbright U.S. Student competition for the 2027-2028 academic year is now open. 

The Office of International Affairs is soliciting graduate student applicants for this flagship international exchange program. Fulbright offers opportunities in over 140 countries for students (U.S. citizens) in all disciplines. Applicants apply to teach English, enroll in graduate school, or conduct research with their host community while representing the U.S. and fostering binational relationships. Ohio State’s application deadline for the 2027-2028 award cycle is August 11, 2026.

The Office of International Affairs offers comprehensive support to graduate students who wish to pursue Fulbright. Eligible graduate students in your academic unit who are interested in applying for the 2027-28 award year must fill out the Interest Registration Form by Friday, April 24, 2026. 

Students can learn more about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program by attending an Information Session on May 4 at 3 p.m. or emailing Louise Ling Edwards to schedule an advising appointment.
