Global Ambassadors

The Office of International Affairs is seeking both domestic and international students to volunteer as Global Ambassadors. Global Ambassadors are a diverse team of students committed to promoting cultural exchange at Ohio State. As volunteers with the Office of International Affairs, Global Ambassadors demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the Office of International Affairs, which seeks the engagement of students, staff and faculty in the global Ohio State community.

Qualifications

  • Ohio State student in good academic standing
  • Committed to cross-cultural exchange
  • Open-minded and willing to learn about other cultures
  • Able to take initiative and work well with others

Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Engagement Night programming and discussions
  • Develop campus partnerships as program leads
  • Plan engaging cultural programs each semester
  • Promote Global Engagement across campus
  • Attend biweekly staff planning meetings
  • Attend Global Engagement Night meetings (every Tuesday at 6 p.m.)
  • Coordinate events centered around the nine dimensions of wellness
  • Assist with other Office of International Affairs events as needed
