2024 International Photography Exhibition winners announced
The 2024 International Photography Exhibition features 40 original photographs taken overseas in 22 different countries by 34 Ohio State students, staff, faculty and alumni.GOHi’s three-year journey to empower Ethiopian healthcare
For the past three years, Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative (GOHi) has dedicated substantial resources to partner facilities in Ethiopia enhancing their capacity to provide microbiology services and implement infection prevention and control practices. This work is all part of the Global Action in Healthcare Network – Antimicrobial Resistance (GAIHN-AR), which is a global network of healthcare facilities, laboratories and infection, prevention and control (IPC) teams.
Seeking volunteers to serve Thanksgiving dinner
More than 80 volunteers are needed to help serve Thanksgiving Dinner at the Ohio Union to 1,000 Ohio State students, faculty and staff unable to go home for the holiday on Wednesday, November 27. Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and are welcome to enjoy the meal after their shift.

Laura Podalsky has been awarded the Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad (FRA) Fellowship.$100,000 grant funds internships in East Asia
The East Asian Studies Center (EASC) received a $100,000 grant from the Freeman Foundation, a private foundation whose mission is to strengthen the connections between the United States and countries of East Asia. This grant will support summer internships in East Asia for about 15 undergraduate students, and will be arranged and overseen by EASC. The award offers EASC the opportunity to renew the grant for additional funds in subsequent years.

Ohio State graduate student Allie Mickle immersed herself in Hong Kong’s art scene
Ohio State PhD Candidate Allie Mickle spent three months in Hong Kong as the gallery and exhibitions visiting fellow at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK) during the spring of 2024. While there, she assisted the gallery and exhibitions team by helping open the Wifredo Lam: Homecoming exhibition in the Chantal Miller Gallery.
