It was important for me to go abroad because I’ve always wanted to travel to Europe and experience and understand a new culture. I adapted quickly to all the different changes and helped my peers do the same. The people I met and the people I went with in the program made the experience fun and memorable for me. I met a lot of locals who helped me understand the town of Siena and other social experiences.

I have always known I wanted to do some sort of an abroad experience in college. This was the perfect amount of time and I learned so much. I wanted to go abroad to learn about other cultures around the world and meet people from all over the world!

Rising sophomore Grace Rittenour, a finance major, studied abroad in Hamburg, Germany as part of the Fisher College of Business Freshman Global Lab during the spring of 2023. Freshman Global Lab gives students the opportunity to earn 1.5 credits over a two-week session featuring cultural immersion and visits with leaders and experts in manufacturing and logistics.
