“While exploring the narrow alleys of Old Havana, I photographed a woman in her centuries-old, crumbling tenement, where daily life unfolds against a backdrop of vibrant colors and textures. Our local guide introduced us, and I was immediately drawn to her colorful dress, her cigar, her warmth, and the openness in her smile. Her surroundings told as much of the story as her expression. To me, this image captures the spirit of La Habana Vieja‚Äîresilient, full of life, and deeply rooted in history.”
