Consultants complete Center for Operational Excellence program

Founded in 2003 out of the technology incubator of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro as a management and technology consulting company, Visagio is now a global business development transformation platform with projects delivered across more than 40 countries. China Gateway engages with admitted students

The China Gateway continues to partner with undergraduate admissions in the Office of Student Academic Excellence to host yield events for first-year admitted students. The events aim to give students insight into why Ohio State is the best place to start their college career in the United States.

Buckeye Panel Series engages alumni in China

More than 50 Ohio State alumni and friends attended the third Buckeye Panel on March 19. The virtual event was hosted by the Chengdu Alumni Club. Weiguo Sun (PhD, Chemistry ‘92) and Ming Pu (PhD, Mathematics ‘07) shared their insight and advice on personal and professional development. They also discussed their views on the importance of choosing a career path after graduation, and how to make best use of a study abroad experience to enhance career development.

Academic directors for Global Gateways appointed

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) has appointed three Ohio State faculty members to serve as academic directors for the Global Gateways, Ohio State’s liaison offices in China, India and Brazil. In addition to their faculty appointments, they will serve as part-time senior advisors for the Global Gateways and connect with Ohio State’s 15 colleges and regional campuses to identify new partnership opportunities abroad.

Buckeyes gathered in Riyadh to celebrate Alumni Club of Saudi Arabia

Ohio State Buckeyes gathered recently in Riyadh to celebrate the Alumni Club of Saudi Arabia. Dedicated alumni Musa Alharoon, Saud Milibari, Mohammed Alsekhan, Abdulaziz Almousa and Ziyad D. Al-Qahtani have worked closely with The Ohio State University Alumni Association to build the alumni club and bring Buckeyes together.

Alumnus Nair earns 2022 Pay It Forward Award

Founding president of the Alumni Club of India, Akshay Nair was awarded the 2022 Pay It Forward Award by The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Under his leadership, the club has earned Scarlet status each year since its inception in 2018.

Brazil Gateway visits Columbus sister city

A delegation from Greater Columbus Sister Cities International visited Brazil in January to meet with companies and government offices in Curitiba, Columbus’ sister city since 2014. The group included members and representatives from Columbus’ business, health, housing and transportation sectors.
