For Saira Ramanna, an international student studying interior design at The Ohio State University, finding a welcoming and supportive global community was one of the biggest factors in choosing where to study.

“What made my study abroad experience with Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Scotland’s Ruminants program truly memorable was the opportunity to explore Scotland through an agricultural lens. Getting to visit farms and research facilities allowed me to connect classroom knowledge with real-world practices in a completely different environment.

More than 250 prospective Chinese Buckeyes attended sessions in Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing in March. The admitted students and their families heard from distinguished alumni, learned about The Ohio State University's vibrant campus life and academic offerings and gathered information about the enrollment process. 

Benjamin Hoffmann, College of Arts and Sciences Designated Professor of French and Francophone Literature and Director of the Center of Excellence in the Department of French and Italian, was named a Chevalier in the Ordre des Palmes Académiques (“Knight of the Order of Academic Palms”), a French national order bestowed on distinguished academics and teachers and for valuable service to universities, education and science. 

On March 31, 2025, Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Patrick Louchouarn recognized students and faculty from The Ohio State University who are recent Fulbright and Fulbright-Hays recipients and Fulbright student semifinalists, as well as visiting Fulbright students and scholars from around the globe, during a reception at the Faculty Club.

Sixteen students from four Ohio colleges and universities competed in the 14th annual Undergraduate Olympiada of Spoken Russian, which was held on February 22 at Bowling Green State University.

Ten students from The Ohio State University earned top three finishes in various levels of language proficiency.
