In March, the China Gateway visited five prestigious Chinese universities and engaged with numerous students in Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. During the visits, about 30 students expressed interest in becoming a Buckeye and attending Ohio State.

More than 250 prospective Chinese Buckeyes attended sessions in Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing in March. The admitted students and their families heard from distinguished alumni, learned about The Ohio State University's vibrant campus life and academic offerings and gathered information about the enrollment process.
Ohio State hosted international symposium on discourse analysis
Spring semester, the Ohio State's Center for Discourse Analysis and Video Ethnography, hosted the "Discourse Analysis Symposium," led by Professor Stephanie Power-Carter from the Department of Teaching and Learning. The symposium brought together interdisciplinary scholars, researchers and doctoral students to explore emerging directions in discourse analysis and ethnographic research in education, particularly in culturally diverse contexts.
