“During my visit to Ohio State in February, I was warmly welcomed by professionals engaged in international initiatives and innovative projects.

With support from the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Innovation Fund, Ohio State School of Music faculty traveled to Brazil in March to perform, teach and engage with students and community members at Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA), Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and Orquestra Jovem das Gerais.

In March, the China Gateway visited five prestigious Chinese universities and engaged with numerous students in Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. During the visits, about 30 students expressed interest in becoming a Buckeye and attending Ohio State.

More than 250 prospective Chinese Buckeyes attended sessions in Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing in March. The admitted students and their families heard from distinguished alumni, learned about The Ohio State University's vibrant campus life and academic offerings and gathered information about the enrollment process. 

Spring semester, the Ohio State's Center for Discourse Analysis and Video Ethnography, hosted the "Discourse Analysis Symposium," led by Professor Stephanie Power-Carter from the Department of Teaching and Learning. The symposium brought together interdisciplinary scholars, researchers and doctoral students to explore emerging directions in discourse analysis and ethnographic research in education, particularly in culturally diverse contexts.

The India Health Conference – Challenges in Disease Management and Outcome brought together more than 150 participants, including researchers, public health experts and policymakers from India and the United States, to tackle critical healthcare issues.

Four Ohio State faculty members have been awarded funding through Brazil’s prestigious National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Granted as part of the "Support for Network Projects with Brazilian Researchers Abroad" program, the funds will support collaborative research efforts between Ohio State and leading institutions in Brazil.
