The Ohio State University, in partnership with the India Gateway and Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital, will host the India Health Conference – Challenges in Disease Management and Outcome on February 15-16, 2025, in Mumbai, India. The two-day conference will bring together 200 participants, including researchers, public health experts, and policymakers from India, Sri Lanka, and United States, to tackle critical healthcare issues.
Despite India’s robust growth in healthcare infrastructure, the sector faces challenges such as unequal access, low public expenditure, affordability, and a dual burden of infectious and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). With the focus still skewed toward curative care, there is a growing need for preventive healthcare strategies like early detection and vaccination.
The conference will feature expert discussions on themes including maternal and neonatal health, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, mental health, AI-driven diagnostics, and social work in health care. Set in Mumbai’s dynamic healthcare ecosystem, the conference builds on a legacy of impactful collaborations and aims to foster innovation and partnerships to transform healthcare delivery in India and beyond.
