Ian Harris was one of five students who traveled to the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Milan, Italy, to share his research. Ian is a senior majoring in aerospace engineering, astrophysics and astronomy, physics, and minoring in nuclear engineering and mathematics.

My experience was made memorable by getting to experience a new culture and learning about the culture through the lens of a local Panamanian. My favorite memory from the trip was going to the children’s school and making arts and crafts Christmas presents with them for their families.
It was important for me to go abroad because it gives me the opportunity to understand the world more and how different cultures interact with each other.

Second-year Cordelia Van der Veer attended the United Nations Climate Change COP 28 conference in Dubai UAE in 2023.
My education abroad experience was memorable because it was student-driven! Our trip to Dubai was the first time Ohio State had taken students to the U.N. Climate Summit, so students played an important part in shaping the program. When we were in Dubai, we decided what events and opportunities were most important to us.

Ariana Gill is a junior studying animal science and religious studies. She traveled abroad to Ireland as part of the Human and Animal Interactions program over winter break 2023.
What made my education abroad fun was how I got to be involved in a program that is aligned with my major. I am an animal science major and animals are my biggest passion, so going Ireland to not only experience another country but to visit some animals and learn about their ways of caring for them was very cool and something I will remember for the rest of my life.
