Buckeyes Abroad: Audrey Radick

"I've always wanted to study abroad to experience a new culture firsthand, and Florence, Italy feels like the perfect place with its rich history and great location for travel. My program, Arcadia Abroad at ISI Florence fits my academic interests as well. As a strategic communication major, I have been able to find many pre-approved courses in my program that allow me to apply my education to Italian industries I find interesting such as fashion and food," shares Audrey Radick.

"Beyond academics, I wanted to study abroad to branch outside my comfort zone, grow as a person, and gain a more global perspective. The adjustment to abroad life has at times been challenging whether it’s creating a routine, balancing schoolwork and travel or living in a city while learning its language, but the unforgettable memories make it all worth it."

"In the past seven weeks, I have traveled to many new countries including, Portugal, Austria, Morocco, and Spain but my favorite of all was Porto, Portugal. I went to Porto with fellow Ohio State student, Nicole Skyer. Together we surfed, did a port wine and chocolate tasting, took a boat ride along the river, and explored the city! Taking a whole semester abroad has allowed me to see so many places I never dreamed of going. So far, study abroad has been the experience of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to continue learning and traveling the rest of the semester!"
