The Center for African Studies partnered with African Studies at Ohio University, Kent State Center for African Studies and Wexner Center for the Arts to host a booth at the Columbus African Festival on July 26-27 in Genoa Park.
On May 20, the Ohio State Center for African Studies hosted a delegation of ministers from the Government of Ghana to strengthen the Columbus-Accra sister-city relationship and foster additional collaboration between Ohio State and Ghanian institutions.
To prepare military personnel for an upcoming deployment to Africa, The Ohio State University has partnered with the U.S. Army Reserve’s 412th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne).
“We don’t necessarily see a separation between global and local. Global is something that starts right here, right now,” said Kaya Şahin, vice provost for global strategies and international affairs, in his remarks welcoming Ohio House Representative Ismail Mohamed to campus on November 20.
