Students accepted by a Japanese school under a student exchange agreement and qualify for financial assistance can apply for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarship. Students who receive an academic year scholarship receive a monthly stipend of 80,000 Japanese yin, about $575 a month.

The Ohio International Consortium Donald N. Nelson Scholarship is awarded to students who are Ohio residents, rising sophomores or higher, studying full time at a university or college and have been accepted into a study abroad program. Students are awarded $1,500 to assist with expenses relating to their global education program.
