Due to recently announced federal immigration rule changes affecting international students and visiting scholars in the United States, immigration information on this website is subject to change. The new rule takes effect on September 15, 2026. Ohio State is reviewing the changes and will update this website as additional information becomes available.

International Affairs recognized with advising award

The Office of International Affairs has been awarded the Wayne Carlson Friend of ACADAOS Award for the 2021-22 academic year. ACADAOS is Ohio State’s internal Academic Advising Association, a professional organization for academic advisors. The award was presented on April 27 at the annual ACADAOS Recognition Ceremony, which honors outstanding advisors and advising administrators.

Recipients of the Friend of ACADAOS Award have positively impacted academic advisors' ability to deliver services to students or have positively impacted students in a way that is complementary to the goals of academic advising.

OIA's work depends on the university’s academic advisors to share relevant information with Ohio State's international student population, students seeking to study abroad and/or participate in other international education programming, as well as be knowledgeable about the many activities all of the units within OIA provide to advance global opportunities.
