Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Head of Educational Mission in Embassy of Egypt visits Ohio State

Ali Massoud, cultural attaché and head of the Educational Mission in the Embassy of Egypt in Washington, D.C. visited Ohio State in August. The government of Egypt is courting the top U.S. institutions for future partnerships and collaborations. Massoud is keen on facilitating academic partnerships between the College of Engineering and the College of Medicine and several Egyptian institutions.

To facilitate future collaborations, Massoud met with faculty and researchers in the two colleges and also with Gil Latz, vice provost for global strategies and international affairs, Fernando Unzueta, associate vice provost for global strategies and international affairs, and Padmini Roy-Dixon, executive director, Global Gateways and International Partnerships.
