Bruce Scates, a professor in the School of History at The Australian National University, is visiting Ohio State as a Fulbright Scholar in April. Scates earned the Fulbright 70th Anniversary Scholar Award, in Honor of Norman Harper, for his project “The Making of America's Great War Centary.”
As part of his Fulbright experience, Scates is participating in "The Long Shadows of War. A conversation on war violence, genocide and memory" event on Monday, April 18 at 3:30 p.m. in 165 Thompson Library. Sponsored by the Department of History, the conversation also features Annette Becker, professor of Contemporary History, University of Paris and director of the Historial de la Grande Guerre, and Bruno Cabanes, Donald G. & Mary A. Dunn Chair in Modern Military History at Ohio State.
Cabanes also serves as faculty associate for Scates during his time at Ohio State.
