Artificial intelligence is present in nearly all career-fields and is poised to reshape the future of learning and work. Having a network of peers can be an invaluable resource for learning how to navigate AI and maximize its capabilities as the technology continues to evolve.

The China Gateway at Ohio State partnered with the Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen alumni clubs to host the first AI Alumni Panel in June, bringing together an audience of more than 40 alumni and students.

Panelists included Bobin Ren ’13, executive director at Sinovation Ventures Frontier Tech Fund, Chonghao Ju ’14, co-founder and CTO of deciqAI and Yumeng Yang ’11, South China business director at Alibaba Cloud. Yachao Wang’16 served as the moderator for the panel.

“These areas will shape the next wave of innovation, so the need for fluency in AI is becoming increasingly important,” shared Ren, who highlighted the emerging opportunities made possible by AI.

The event marked the first of the China Gateway and the Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen alumni clubs’ AI sharing series, which will continue with monthly panels in July and August.

The series aligns with Ohio State’s AI Fluency initiative to ensure that every student will graduate with the AI proficiencies necessary to compete and lead in their respective fields of study.
