Six students awarded Graduate Associate Teaching Awards

International students from six countries were recognized for their dedication to teaching by the Graduate School.

The Graduate School has announced the recipients of the 2025-2026 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards (GATA). Six international students were recognized for their dedication to teaching.

  • Mehmet Basaran (Germany) - Mathematics
  • Kiro Mikhaeel (Egypt) - Chemistry
  • Adrijana Miladinovic (Russia) - Sociology
  • Onur Ozkaynak (Turkiye) - Teaching and Learning
  • Haeun Park (South Korea) - Educational Studies
  • Mykyta Tyshchenko (Ukraine) - Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures

GATA winners receive a one-time $2,000 award for their accomplishments and are honored at the annual Graduate School Awards Ceremony. Any Ohio State student (undergraduate, graduate, or professional), faculty, or staff member may nominate a Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA) for the GATA.
