More than 250 prospective Chinese Buckeyes attended sessions in Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing in March. The admitted students and their families heard from distinguished alumni, learned about The Ohio State University's vibrant campus life and academic offerings and gathered information about the enrollment process.
These events provided prospective students and their families an opportunity to connect with Ohio State. The alumni presentations allowed the students to get a deeper understanding of what it means to be part of the Buckeye community, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Participants also received important information about the next steps in the enrollment process. Topics such as housing, orientation, and other essential aspects of preparing for university life were covered, helping students and parents navigate the transition to Ohio State with ease and confidence.
The China Gateway will host a second round of yield events in Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Shenzhen in April. The Gateway is committed to providing students with the resources and guidance they need to ensure a smooth transition to Ohio State and is excited to welcome the next generation of global Buckeyes.
