More than 80 volunteers are needed to help serve Thanksgiving Dinner at the Ohio Union to 1,000 Ohio State students, faculty and staff unable to go home for the holiday on Wednesday, November 27. Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and are welcome to enjoy the meal after their shift.
Volunteers can register by November 4 here.
Every year, the Office of International Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion hosts one of the largest Thanksgiving dinners on a college campus, the day before the holiday. An estimated 1,000 guests attend the free event, held at the Ohio Union in the Archie M. Griffin Ballroom. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner includes turkey, gravy, green beans and mashed potatoes, served with cornbread and pie.
All guests must have a ticket to attend. Tickets will be available for pickup at 140 Enarson Classroom Building, Hale Hall and the information desk at the Ohio Union starting November 18 while supplies last. Tickets are free, and you must present a BuckID.
