The Center for Drug Discovery and Therapeutics in Africa (CDT-Africa) aims to build capacity in Translational Medicine in three tracks: 1) Vaccine development; 2) Diagnostic development and 3) Therapeutic development.
The project is led by Addis Ababa University, Ohio State’s College of Pharmacy and includes the involvement of the colleges of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Veterinary Medicine as well as the Global One Health initiative.
Funded by the World Bank as part of the African Center of Excellence, this project fosters research and training partnerships with opportunities for faculty collaboration in drug discovery, including research of using medicinal plants, as well as innovative therapeutic approaches.
