The India Gateway organized a virtual pre-departure orientation session on June 3 for undergraduate and graduate students from India attending Ohio State in the autumn 2022 semester. Nearly 90 new Buckeyes joined the orientation to learn about available resources that would help them prepare better for their departure to Columbus.
Speakers representing the Office of International Affairs, Office of Student Academic Success, and Office of Student Life provide information and knowledge on the available resources that would help students prepare better as they get ready for their departure. Students appreciated the opportunity to learn about getting involved, life on campus, wellness, class scheduling, residence life, and various campus resources.
The session featured Amy Treboni, senior director of academic advising and interim director of First Year Experience, Caroline Omolesky, program officer for sponsored programs and academic liaison, Matt Couch, associate dean of students and senior director of Student Activities & Student Life Orientation, Ryan Lovell, associate dean of students and senior director, Parent and Family Relations, and Alex Kaufman, Buckeye Link counselor and outreach director.
