Wondwossen Gebreyes, Global One Health initiative (GOHi) executive director, visited Ethiopia in December to visit key partners, including the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), Armauer Hansen Research Institute, Ministry of Education and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Ethiopia Office.
Collaborative research implementation for current projects, capacity building in various One Health areas and plans for future partnerships were discussed.
GOHi is currently the lead organization in building the Public Health Emergency Response Capacity of Ethiopia, for which the EPHI recently recognized GOHi's help during a workshop.
Gebreyes also met with the GOHi Eastern Africa Office regarding various projects in Ethiopia, current impact and future direction.
