Richard Vasques, an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Ohio State, visited the Polytechnic Institute (IPRJ) at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) to present a lecture in early July. The presentation titled "Non-Classical Particle Transport: Nuclear Reactors, Clouds and Computer Graphics" was part of his project with CAPES-PrInt, a Brazilian research foundation, and research partner Ricardo Barros, head of IPRJ.

While visiting IPRJ, Vasques met with Yessica Jimenez, an Ohio State student doing a summer internship in the polymer lab, Alan Souza da Silva and Lisa Susana Enomoto, who were visiting scholars through CAPES-PrInt at Ohio State in 2021 and visited the graduate programs in physics and computer science at UERJ in Rio de Janeiro in Maracanã.
