The China Gateway continues to partner with undergraduate admissions in the Office of Student Academic Excellence to host yield events for first-year admitted students. The events aim to give students insight into why Ohio State is the best place to start their college career in the United States.
On March 22, the China Gateway hosted a yield event in Mandarin Chinese for first-year admitted students living in China. The event provided information about Ohio State and served as a forum to answer student questions. Thirty-two students participated and posed questions about academics, campus life, accommodations, travel and insurance. This year, a current student shared her Ohio State story as part of the event.
Another yield event in Mandarin Chinese for admitted students is scheduled for April 18. These events are part of multiple sessions that undergraduate admissions hosts for all first-year admitted students.
