Delegations from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), a public university, and the Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC), a business school, both from the state of Minas Gerais, visited Ohio State in May.
UFLA faculty have collaborated frequently with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), including Ohio State alumni joining UFLA as faculty members. UFLA representatives met with staff from CFAES and the Office of International Affairs, visited facilities and discussed opportunities, such as graduate students and faculty exchanges through CAPES PrInt funding and the Brazilian fund for the internationalization of higher education.
On May 11-12, FDC representatives met with the Office of International Affairs, Fisher College of Business and CFAES faculty and staff. The Brazil Gateway organized the visit, whose connection with FDC started with the support of Fisher alumnus and President of the Alumni Club of Brazil, Roberto Abramson. Collaborations such as joint certificate programs and faculty exchange were discussed.
