The Office of International Affairs facilitates a wide array of international partnerships to further Ohio State’s mission to create and discover new knowledge to benefit our state, regional, national and global communities. The 2022 International Partnerships annual report provides statistics and highlights collaborations that expanded Ohio State’s global reach.
Throughout the year, Ohio State faculty collaborated with long-time partners, forged new relationships and discovered innovative ways to further their research and advance global initiatives.
Forty-six new agreements were formalized in 23 countries. Regionally, Asia and Europe had the most new partnerships with 18 apiece, and North America rounded out the top three with five new partnerships in Canada. Overall, international agreements are climbing steadily to their pre-pandemic level.
In addition to facilitating agreements, the International Partnerships unit coordinated 12 delegation visits to Ohio State, including Rajmohan Gandhi, His Excellency Taranjit Singh Sandhu, strategic partners from University of Tsukuba, and Mahabir Pun, a Ramon Magsaysay award winner.
Ohio State remains committed to advancing a campus community that is internationally engaged by providing opportunities for faculty and students to demonstrate the critical importance of a global perspective in all fields of scholarship.
