Artur Ulsenheimer and Caue Faria, undergraduate aerospace engineering students at Ohio State (Class of 2026), participated this summer in the second edition of Embraer’s job internship program, held in Brazil during June and July. During the two-month program, participants worked across various engineering departments, contributing to real-world projects in an immersive, hands-on environment. They also engaged in more than 30 activities, including lectures, technical visits and workshops at Embraer facilities throughout the country.
"At Embraer, I had the chance to work in the Materials Science and Engineering office, focusing on thermoplastic composite materials,” Artur said. “The experience gave me hands-on exposure to advanced aerospace materials while also letting me learn from professionals who shared their knowledge and perspective. What I appreciated most was the collaborative spirit, with people from different backgrounds coming together to solve problems. Being part of that environment showed me how innovation at Embraer grows from the mix of so many fields working side by side."

"My time at Embraer provided me with incredible experiences and valuable lessons that I will carry with me for life,” Caue said. “The program included extensive visits to diverse Embraer facilities, from manufacturing plants and software development offices to landing gear sites, costumer care centers, and flight simulators. Additionally, as part of the Intelligent Systems and Software team, I contributed to the initial application of computer vision and AI for future projects."
