China Gateway engaged with university students in Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou

In March, the China Gateway visited five prestigious Chinese universities and engaged with numerous students in Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. During the visits, about 30 students expressed interest in becoming a Buckeye and attending Ohio State.

Feedback from the Chinese students during the tour revealed a shift in academic interests. While business programs have traditionally been popular, there is now a growing demand for financial technology-related courses. Additionally, students expressed strong enthusiasm for career resources and internship opportunities, with many seeking guidance on how to align their education with future career paths. This highlights a rising demand for more information on career development and industry connections.

During April the China Gateway will host coffee chats in Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan and Changsha, as well as university visits in Wuhan and Changsha. These events offer students more opportunities to explore academic programs and discover valuable resources that Ohio State offers.
