The School for Field Studies (SFS) has a mission of transforming study abroad through field-based learning and research while exploring environmental problems. Ohio State approves several SFS programs with thematic focuses on sustainability, environmental science, wildlife management, and ecology.

SFS programs provide students with the opportunity to learn more about local culture, the thematic focus at each site, and participate in research or field studies related to the on-going research at the SFS center.

Ohio State will be hosting a representative from SFS on Tuesday January 21, 2025. Students interested in SFS programming are encouraged to stop by drop-in advising hours or the SFS information session to meet with the rep and learn more about SFS programming.
