Join renowned Middle East expert and food culture educator Barbara Petzen for an engaging exploration of the ancient and evolving legacy of winemaking in the Middle East. The region’s wine traditions span thousands of years and have shaped cultural, religious, and economic life. Barb Petzen

Barb is one of the foremost experts on Middle Eastern foodways and brings a wealth of experience as an educator who has been working in the Middle East and the US for thirty years. A key consultant for our Seeds of Middle Eastern Culture project she will share her knowledge in events targeting faculty, professionals working in our local food system, and youth during her visit. Barb regularly presents at academic conferences and does educational workshops, such as this intensive for teachers she led at UCLA.
