How did the Victorians entertain themselves before social media? What does the mass-produced popular literature of that time have to do with how we consume media today? From satire to critique to fantasy, the city of London has been a setting for visual cultures for centuries, and you can spend four weeks investigating how the city has influenced our 21st century appetite for entertainment.
This May 2026 step outside of the classroom and explore the rich cultural history, atmospheric locations and archival spaces of this world city through the printed arts. The Literature and Culture of London program is open to all majors, but especially relevant for English, history of art, and communications students.
