Information session: England: Evolution in Darwin's World and Ours

This spring break program introduces students to the history of evolutionary thought within the context of 19th century Victorian culture. Students discuss the nature of scientific inquiry and pre-Darwinian ideas, the development of Darwin’s theory and Alfred Russel Wallace’s role, and the reception of the Origin of Species.
