Abstract: The conference will provide an opportunity for community members to deepen their understanding of the importance of the U.S.-Japan relationship in terms of national security and economic/business relations. Security experts will address the strategic importance of this bilateral security alliance for the region and the world in the current moment, by casting light on rapidly changing geopolitical environments in the Indo-Pacific. Business leaders will consider the strategic nature of the bilateral economic and business relations as well as the economic business ties between Ohio and Japan, particularly in the light of technology competition and supply chain resiliency, all set against the backdrop of competition between the U.S. and China. Lunch will be provided for attendees. This event is co-sponsored by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA. Please contact Dr. Mitch Lerner (lerner.26@osu.edu) with questions.
