Based on stories familiar to Korean schoolchildren, this animated anthology explores the complexities of life as we age. The Road Called Life features three short, animated films based on beloved Korean tales: Yi Hyo-seok’s “When the Buckwheat Flowers Bloom,” Kim Yu-jeong’s “Spring, Spring,” and Hyun Jin-geon’s “One Lucky Day.” Together, these films portray the intricate array of feelings and experiences of people at different stages in their lives.
