Ready for a study abroad experience that goes beyond the classroom? Travel to Taiwan and dive into the island’s vibrant blend of ancient traditions and modern life through CHIN 3797: Beliefs and Cultural Expressions in Taiwan, a 4-credit course taught in English (no Chinese required!).

In this immersive program, you’ll:

  • Visit temples, shrines, museums, and cultural heritage sites
    • Meet local spiritual leaders, educators, and scholars
    • Partner with a student from Feng Chia University for an unforgettable cultural exchange
    • Learn about how belief systems shape democracy, identity, and daily life in Taiwan

This course also includes subsidized Chinese language instruction. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of East Asian cultures, global citizenship, and the power of belief in shaping societies.
