Getnet Yimer, MD

Getnet Yimer, MD, eastern Africa regional director, conducted a face-to-face training for front-line healthcare workers at the leading COVID-19 treatment center in Ethiopia, the Millennium COVID-19 Treatment and Care Center.

Yimer started his session by recognizing the significant, selfless impact those devoted health care workers are contributing in the fight against the pandemic.

His lecture focused on biomedical research ethics, good clinical practice and responsibilities of different stakeholders when conducting clinical research with real life practical examples from Africa.

The training was organized by the research coordinator of the center, Tigist Workneh, MD.
