Simmons receives Fulbright International Education Administrator Seminar Award

Jeannie Simmons

Jeannie Simmons, associate director of education abroad in the Office of International Affairs, is the recipient of a prestigious Fulbright International Education Administrator (IEA) Seminar award to Taiwan.

Simmons will participate in a two-week group seminar of briefings, campus visits, appointments with select government officials, cultural activities and meetings with representatives from universities, private sector agencies and organizations in March as part of this Fulbright award. The program is designed to familiarize U.S. higher education administrators with Taiwan’s higher education system, society and culture.

“I am very honored to participate in an experience that has such a long and well-respected legacy,” Simmons said. “I am looking forward to all aspects of the experience and am especially grateful for the support and encouragement from my OIA colleagues throughout this process.

The Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. For more information about Fulbright at Ohio State, please contact kukielka-blaser.1@osu.edu or visit oia.osu.edu/grants-and-scholarships/fulbright.html
