The One Health Eastern Africa Research Training Program (OHEART) annual retreat took place from September 28-30.
The virtual event provided trainings to fellows in the areas of adjunct scientific skills, research ethics and meta-leadership and allowed the pre- and postdoctoral fellows to showcase some of the research findings as a result of the research mentorship program.
Since 2010, OHEART has been a program at the center of GOHi capacity building effort in eastern African (Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania).
Through the funding provided by NIH- Fogarty International Center, the program has been able to train 19 predoctoral and three postdoctoral fellows in the partner institution in Eastern Africa. Over 40 participants joined the virtual retreat.
