New Brazilian Buckeyes to Watch: Ana Carolina Sousa

Ana Carolina Sousa

In this feature series, the Brazil Gateway will be spotlighting new Brazilian students who will be attending Ohio State. We are sure they will do great things at Ohio State! Join us in welcoming these new Buckeyes!

My name is Ana Carolina Sousa, I am an incoming student in the Fisher College of Business MBA program, and a management consultant with three years of experience in projects throughout Brazil, the United States and Canada.

I am also a chemical engineer, and I really enjoy working as a volunteer as a quality advisor at Engineers Without Borders – Brazil (ESF), a nonprofit whose purpose is to promote sustainable social growth through engineering. ESF has 2,000 volunteers and has impacted over 80,000 Brazilians across the country.

As a management consultant, I've participated in projects focused on cost reduction, profit optimization, operational efficiency improvement and process redesign, with most experience in manufacturing and oil and gas segments. I am passionate about delivering outstanding results while creating positive and lasting interpersonal relationships.

Because of my engineering background, I really wanted to pursuit my MBA in the United States and consolidate my management knowledge in a top-tier business school. I am very thankful to Fisher for allowing me to fulfill this dream, and I am very excited to join the Ohio State community and to use my MBA journey to make a positive impact in the world.
