Jill Toft selected for The Women's Place Staff Leadership Series

Jill Toft has been accepted into the 2020-21 Staff Leadership Series (SLS), facilitated by The Women’s Place. This highly competitive program accepts a maximum of 22 participants each year and includes those individuals who have demonstrated leadership potential or ability within their respective units.

This university-wide initiative is designed specifically around the knowledge frameworks, tangible skills and strategies most relevant to the culture at Ohio State. The goal is to create a pool of potential staff leaders from groups that have been traditionally underrepresented in key leadership roles. Through experiential learning, self-development and engagement with issues critical to leadership, the SLS challenges and supports staff to grow as leaders as well as provides opportunities to cultivate supportive professional networks.

Toft, who serves as executive assistant to vice provost Gil Latz, will begin the year-long program in September, attending monthly workshops to learn about and discuss a number of topics relating to leadership including, building dynamic teams, managing up and across, boundaries and well-being at work and navigating change.
