Ashley Bersani, GOHi senior program manager, was the winner of The Lancet Global Health best student poster presentation at the annual Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) conference.

During a virtual ceremony, Bersani received the recognition for her research on gender bias in global health leadership conducted during her MBA studies at The Ohio State University. Bersani was one of eight awardees out of 700 abstract submissions.

The Lancet, an authoritative voice in global medicine, awarded Bersani’s work in the area of Politics, Law, Corruption, Human Rights, Governance, Diplomacy, Strengthening Public Institutions. CUGH’s conference theme focused on Critical Gaps in Global Health Development in support of its vision to support the university as a transforming force in global health.
