The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) organized a workshop from November 1-5 with technical support from the GOHi Eastern Africa office. The workshop was sponsored by EPHI and the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative (CHAI). Twenty participants took part in the document preparation workshop, and participants came from EPHI, GOHi and CHAI. The following documents were completed in the workshop:

1. Interim guide for SARS CoV-2 antigen rapid diagnostic testing in Ethiopia

• • This document guides the effective use of antigen tests for different testing situations and purposes in Ethiopia.

2. Quality assurance guideline for SARS-CoV-2 Testing in Ethiopia:

• • This document provides general technical and managerial guidance for the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and overall management of the quality assurance program for SARS-CoV-2 testing in Ethiopia. These guidelines ensure that national efforts provide effective and efficient support for the pandemic.

3. Quality assurance training manual for real-time PCR testing

• • The training manual serves as a resource for real-time PCR quality assurance and quality control practices for biological sample collection, stabilization, storage, DNA and RNA extraction and qPCR data analysis, as well as developing new methods in Ethiopia.
