Global One Health 2021 Summer Institute highlights

The 2021 Digital Global One Health Summer Institute delivered training to participants from around the globe. From July to September 13 modules have been successfully provided through online platforms. More than 81 faculty from The Ohio State University and other global institutes were involved.

Diverse modules addressed the one health concept. This year’s Internal Medicine Residency Program was organized by the collaboration of the Global One Health initiative, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Addis Ababa University, and Tikur Anbessa Hospital. The residency program covered five modules by Wexner team members over five days with more than 27 faculty involved as lecturers and moderators. Most of the participants were residents and physicians from Addis Ababa university and other universities, mostly in Ethiopia, and from other countries as well.

The equine medicine module has organized in collaboration with World Veterinary Services, a United Kingdom based organization working on equine health. More than 15 equine practitioners were involved as trainers/speakers.
