In collaboration with other universities in the American Universities’ China Association, the China Gateway hosted an online alumni career talk on December 19.

The session focused on the web services industry, and alumni speakers were invited to share their perspectives and experiences with current students. Speakers and participants came from several U.S. universities, including Ohio State, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Southern California.

Longfei Li graduated from Ohio State with a master’s degree in material science and engineering in 2012, and is now working as a solutions architect at Cainiao Networks, Alibaba Group. Li shared his experience in the field of web services and discussed how he navigated his career path. The other speakers also provided expertise on how to best prepare for a career in web services. Around 20 Buckeyes registered for the session.
