May is Mental Health Month—Learn your tools to thrive

While 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. The good news is there are practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency.

This May is Mental Health Month! The Office of International Affairs is highlighting tools and resources available for students at Ohio State.

  • Download the OSUCCS App for easy-to-use multimedia strategies to feel better fast! The app is available for Androids and iPhones.
  • Schedule a therapy appointment. Appointments are offered in the following languages Therapy is offered in the following languages: Cantonese Chinese, English, Hindi, Malay, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese and Yorùbá.
  • Watch the Mental Health Strategies Video Series for effective strategies for managing mental health. Watch the entire series or find a video specific to your needs.
  • Reach out to Let’s Talk, drop-in, informal mental health consultations on a first-come, first served basis. Sessions are available via CarmenZoom or by phone.
  • Download the Ohio State: Wellness App. The app provides a streamlined way for students to navigate the range of resources available across the university and in the community. The app is available for Androids and iPhones.
  • Connect with the Buckeye Peer Access Line. Call 614-514-3333.
  • Set an appointment with a Wellness Coach.
  • Seek help from the Eating Disorder Treatment Team, a multidisciplinary team consisting of mental health professionals, physicians and nutritionists who collaborate to provide appropriate assessment, intervention and support to students struggling with eating disorder concerns.
  • Learn more about Ohio State’s Suicide Prevention Program and how you can help someone who may be at risk.
