The future of NATO and its importance to national and transatlantic security

Foreign Minister Linas LinkevičiusLinas Linkevičius, minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, will share his insights into the future of NATO and its importance to national and transatlantic security, on Friday, April 5 from 12:40 – 1:40 p.m., Page Hall in the policy forum, first floor. The event will be a moderated question-and-answer discussion that is open to the public.

As part of the talk, Linkevičius will discuss Lithuania’s perspective on increasing hybrid security threats from Russia, including military activities, disinformation and cybersecurity attacks.

Linkevičius has been Lithuania’s foreign minister since 2012. He served previously as minister of national defense as well as other diplomatic and policy roles in the Lithuanian government. He will be accompanied by Rolandas Kriščiūnas, Lithuania’s ambassador to the United States. Linkevičius is traveling to the United States to attend meetings in Washington, D.C. to mark the 70th anniversary of NATO.
