Ohio State India Gateway Collaborates with Mahindra & Mahindra

The Certificate in Operational Excellence program leverages lean thinking in problem solving, process efficiencies and waste reduction. This program aims to produce candidates who are trained in the practice of value stream management, employee inclusion in problem solving, waste reduction and innovation which results in talented leaders who can successfully guide their organizations toward operational excellence. The program involves four distinct styles of learning: classroom, distance, Gemba, —learning where the work is done — and project work that ensures learning and drives greater return on investment from the program.

Located at Nashik, Maharashtra, MIQ started in 2006 and is India’s premier school of quality, funded entirely by Mahindra & Mahindra. It also includes the Mahindra factory which produces 540 SUVs of three different ranges every day. The unique environment of the MIQ centre will give students  the opportunity to learn operations onsite and feel the holistic experience administered by experts and practitioners from the industry and academia.

Kurle and Garai will continue engagement with MIQ for the Certificate of Operational Excellence program and other future collaborations with Ohio State.
